Organic Shampoo Bar + Scalp Conditioner for Itchy Loc Extensions? | Medicated Wash Day Pt. II

The microscope returns, but I was clearly too high to capture the footage to paint the full picture and results. With a lack of footage, you’ll just have to take my word. There was a slight improvement with the irritation, itching, and inflammation, but within the two-week span, my roots and scalp had gotten dirty again due to daily perspiring from physical activity.

It was brought to my attention by @AfrikanHairGod that while it may have been temporarily assisting my scalp’s issues at the time, it was not treating the core of my issue without properly cleansing with a surfactant. I subconsciously knew this and discontinued using the shampoo bar after a third trial. If you are interested in shampoo bars without sulfates, I would recommend it as a first step before using a clarifying shampoo as more of a pre-poo step.

The conditioner, an unconventional product for sure, can be applied to the scalp and it was absolutely relieving with tea tree oil, neem, burdock, bearberry, menthol, salicylic acid, and white willow bark extract packed in the ingredients. Traditionally, conditioner is meant to be applied to the hair and not the scalp so I was careful to rinse thoroughly in the shower, which I didn’t film.
